1962 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins

A fantastic, classic Golden-Era Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins!

Originally developed in the '50s for legendary Nashville musician, Chet Atkins, the Gretsch 6120 is one of those iconic instruments that has taken on its own mythology. This particular example is a beautiful 1962 double cutaway in mostly original condition. The only non-original piece of hardware is a replacement set of gold Grover Rotomatic tuners. When plugged in, this example has that classic Gretsch sparkle and twang thanks to its two original Filter'Tron pickups. Bright and open sounding, this example sounds delightful.

Cosmetic condition throughout is very good for it's age, with the only exceptions being a crack running through the pickguard and some binding-rot, which is found on nearly every Gretsch guitar from this period, however it is stable in and in good condition. Otherwise, all hardware is fully functional. Plays beautifully with a low-medium action. 

Also included in the sale is the original case, however it has clearly seen many a gig!
