Replay Guitars Consignment Policy

Thank you for considering Replay Guitars for the consignment of your instrument. We value your trust and aim to provide the best possible exposure and service for all consigned items. Please read the following policy details carefully:

1. Minimum Consignment Period

  • 12-Week Minimum: All items must remain on consignment with Replay Guitars for a minimum of 12 weeks. During this period, we will market, list, and showcase your instrument in our store and online channels.

2. Exclusive Listing Rights

  • Sole Representation: While your item is under consignment, Replay Guitars will have exclusive rights to list and market the item. You agree not to list or sell the item elsewhere (including other retail outlets, websites, or private sales) during the consignment period.

3. Pricing and Adjustments

  • Initial Listing Price: We will discuss and agree upon an initial listing price before your item is made available for sale.
  • Adjustments: If market conditions or customer feedback indicate a need to adjust pricing, Replay Guitars will consult with you before making any changes.
  • Consignment Fee: Our standard consignment fee is 20% of the final agreed sale price. This fee covers our sales, marketing, and administrative costs in facilitating the sale.

4. Payments and Payouts

  • Weekly Payouts: Consignment payouts are finalised every Monday.
  • Calculation of Payout: Your payout will be the final sale price minus our 20% consignment fee (and any other agreed-upon costs such as repairs if applicable).
  • Transfer of Funds: Once your item is sold and funds are fully transferred into our account, we will include your payout in the next Monday’s pay cycle.
  • Domestic & International Sales: If the item is sold and shipped domestically or internationally, the consignment payout will be scheduled for the Monday pay cycle after the customer has received the item.

5. Shipping

  • Item Sent to Replay Guitars: If you are shipping your instrument to us for consignment, you are responsible for all shipping costs unless agreed otherwise. We recommend insuring your instrument during transit.
  • Sold Items: Typically, shipping costs for sold items are covered by the purchasing customer.

6. Condition & Preparation

  • Sellable Condition: It is your responsibility to ensure that your instrument is in proper sellable condition before consigning it with Replay Guitars.
  • Repairs & Upgrades: If any repairs, adjustments, or improvements are required to bring the instrument to a standard suitable for sale, Replay Guitars may request that you cover these costs upfront, prior to accepting the item for consignment.
  • Basic Maintenance: We may perform minor cleaning or string changes to present your instrument at its best. We will inform you if any additional services are needed.

7. Item Retrieval & Early Termination

  • Withdrawal Before 12 Weeks: If you wish to retrieve your item before the 12-week period ends, please note that early termination fees may apply, and sufficient notice must be provided.
  • After 12 Weeks: If unsold after 12 weeks, you can choose to continue consigning under renegotiated terms or retrieve the item from our shop.

8. Liability & Insurance

  • Store Security & Insurance: Replay Guitars carries insurance coverage for items in our custody. However, we cannot accept liability for damage or loss beyond the limits of this cover.
  • Force Majeure: Replay Guitars is not liable for events outside our reasonable control (e.g. natural disasters, theft despite secured premises, etc.). We will take every possible precaution to protect your instrument at all times.

9. Agreement

By consigning your instrument with Replay Guitars, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy. We are committed to open communication and will keep you informed about any updates, inquiries, or offers related to your instrument.
