Originally introduced in 1928, and seeing manufacture up until 1938, the Triolian featured a single resonator cone. Originally manufactured with a wood body, the Triolian quickly shifted to a steel body as seen here.
This one is finished in the very antiqua-like 'walnut sunburst' and is a W-serial dating to around 1930. This one is the 12-fret design, as the 14-fret didn't appear until a few years later. The cone has been replaced, however the other hardware appears original to the model.
Cosmetic condition is to be expected for an instrument almost hitting 100 years old! The finish, mostly still intact, has pitting and peeling all throughout. The back of the neck has playwear, with this all-round presenting as a well played and loved antique instrument. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium/low action. Includes a non-original hardcase.
