Great depression-era acoustic archtop from Gibson!
The L-30 was quite a unique offering from Gibson, featuring a L-00 body shape with an arch top and flat back. The top is solid spruce with solid maple back and sides, and thanks to the flat back, is decidedly snappy and versatile. Fingerstyle, swing, and down and dirty country blues all seem at home on this instrument! This particular example features quite a pronounced and deep 'V' neck profile, which is common to see on guitars from this period of history.
This example is quite good cosmetically. There is a crack running from the base to the top of the tailpiece, however at this stage it feels stable and doesn't appear to impact the instrument. Tuners are later replacements, as is the addition of a Benedetto pickup. Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Includes a non-original hardcase.
