A gorgeous archtop from prolific US instrument manufacturer, Harmony!
This example is a Monterey H1326, more than likely dating to sometime in the early to mid 1940s. These featured a solid pressed spruce top, birch back and sides, maple, and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. These boast a full 16 1/2" bout, which helps in delivering quite a pleasing, full archtop sound. The neck is quite a full 'C' profile, and feels excellent when comping chords ala Freddie Green. This example came from its original owner, and upon examination appears to have had no modifications. An excellent example!
Comsetic condition is good for its age, with checking throughout as well as some paint scratches, predominantly focused on the bass side. There is a crack running near the treble side f-hole with some movement, however appears to be stable for the time being. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a gig bag.
