Like our other example, this particular Recording King archtop appears to have been made by Regal sometime in the 1940s.

There are few examples of Recording King archtop guitars from this time possessing three dots. A reference to this model includes the Fascinator 4970 (another umbrella brand during the time) which featured an entirely similar body and fretboard design. This example, outside of what could possibly be a replaced saddle, presents as original (minus a missing strap pin).

As standard for this period of instruments, this example has a very exaggerated 'V' neck profile with some serious depth to it.

Currently strung with phosphor bronze acoustic strings, this example is particularly adept at getting in that 'Freddie Green' zone. There is quite a bit of relief, which makes this example pretty hard to play beyond the 10th fret. Cosmetic condition is okay, with noticeable wear present throughout, however nothing presents itself as being of structural concern.

Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium-high action. Includes a hardcase.
