A Thin Twin but with a different name?
The Kay Thin Twin was manufactured between 1952 to 1959, and most famously was used by Jimmy Reed becoming synonymous with his unique electric blues sound. This particular example features the Kamico branding on the headstock, whilst being a Thin Twin through and through.
Sporting a fully hollow construction, and one of the largest necks you're ever likely to play on an electric guitar, the Thin Twin features its original single coil low output pickups, which despite their diminutive appearance are actually much larger under the pickguard. This one retains a lot of its original hardware, including its original tuners which have begun to shrivel. The bridge however, appears to not be original to this guitar. According to a former listing of this particular example, the bridge pickup has been rebuilt. An examination of the electronics reveals a newer Switchcraft output jack, replaced capacitor, and potentially replaced pots.
Cosmetic condition is quite good for its age, with the expected dings, scratches, and checking. There are no observed breaks/splits, repaired or otherwise. Hardware is functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes the original, and very cool, hardcase.
