This particular example really has us scratching our heads. Featuring what appears to be a jumbo body size, we believe this may have been offered up as one of Kays 'folk' models at the time. This is further reinforced by the inclusion of a slotted headstock and a quite wide 49.5mm nut width. At some stage this example has been fitted out with a vintage DeArmond RHC-B acoustic pickup in the sound hole. Sounds awesome when plugged into an electric amp! At some stage this example has had some crack repairs, located on the bass side of the instrument. All repairs appear to be stable. A very cool old acoustic!
Cosmetic condition is okay for its age with play wear and scratches and dings present throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a case.
