A great looking bass from the infamous 'Lawsuit' period.
Manufactured in Japan and replicating a certain bass from a well-known US manufacturer, the Ibanez 2388B featured a solid mahogany body with selected birch top, bolt-on construction with a hard maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The classic triangle inlays are present as are the Hi-Power pickups in both the neck and bridge position. Only manufactured between 1972 and 1976, these represent the peak of what Japan was putting out at the time.
This particular example has had the output jack replaced with a higher quality Switchcraft replacement as well as the toggle switch. For an instrument of its age it presents well cosmetically, and just looks really cool.
Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a hard shell case.
