A very cool Thinline Deluxe from Greco!
The late '70s were quite a time for Greco in which their guitars began to more closely resemble their Fender/Gibson counterparts with more accurate silhouettes and a higher degree of building precision. As a result, this particular period has become quite desirable when discussing the lineage of Japanese-built instruments. Dating to 1977, the TE-500 from Greco features a pancake ash body semi-hollow construction in combination with a maple neck. A 7.25" fretboard radius and authentic feeling neck profile make for a guitar that looks and feels much like its counterpart. The guitar retains what appears to be original wiring, pots, and its two Maxon wide-range humbuckers, closely mirroring original Fender WRHB pickups in looks and construction.
Cosmetic condition is good for its age with the main noticeable defect being a ding near the bass side f-hole. Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Currently strung up with flatwound strings. No case or gig bag included.
