1978 Yamaha SJ500 Super Jam Black

A ripper example from Yamaha!

In production from around 1978 to 1984, the SJ line featured a pseudo T-style design in tandem with the great production quality of Yamaha Japan! This particular example, based off a serial prefix of 'OO', appears to have been manufactured in 1978. Composed of an alder body with bolt-on maple neck, this example features a combination of a humbucker in the neck with a single coil in the bridge. The humbucker is stamped SJ-500 and is original to this example. Bride single coil appears to be original. Tone control is a later CTS replacement part. Plenty of spank and character from this example!

Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing signs of wear throughout in the form of scratches, dings, and scuff marks. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes the original hardcase.
