A killer LP-copy form Japan!
Old Japanese-made Yamahas are some of our favourites, and the Studio Lord range of LP-style models are particularly cool and impressive! This example dates to 1978, and features an agathis/mahogany body in combination with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. A 12" fretboard radius is present with a medium profile neck sitting somewhere between a 'C' and 'D' profile. Pickguard has been removed as well as pickup covers, but otherwise appears to be correct from what we can tell. If you're after an LP-copy with character and great playability, you can't beat an SL500!
Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing light signs of play wear throughout. There is a more noticeable series of dings on the back of the instrument, lower bout, bass side. There is some finish wear present on the front of the headstock around a few of the tuners. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a period-correct hardcase.
