Originally released around 1977, the S-300 line and other associated models were meant as a replacement to the SG-shaped S-100 line. This particular example, dating to 1980, is a gorgeous and rarer example featuring an ash body with a natural finish. Alongside featuring a maple neck with a beautifully dark ebony fretboard, the S-300 featured a pair of Guild humbuckers as well as phase switch. This example presents exceptionally and in mostly original codition. It appears the output jack has been replaced, and potentially had some minor rewiring done. However, the original pots are present as is the hardware and most importantly, the pickups.
Condition is good for its age with dings and scratches present on the body, and the front of the headstock showcasing some noticeable checking. Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Includes the original hardcase.
