1987 Guild D-55 Natural

One of Guilds all-time best acoustic offerings!

Criminally underrated considering their incredible legacy, Guild have produced some of the best US-made acoustic and electric instruments, competing right alongside companies like Gibson. This particular example dates to 1987 and is the D-55, one of Guilds flagship dreadnought acoustics. Composed of a spruce top with rosewood back and sides, the D-55 is without a doubt one of the punchiest, full-spectrum dreadnoughts we've encountered in recent memory. A mahogany neck with ebony fretboard is present, featuring stunning abalone inlays. A visually stunning instrument, this D-55 is truly an outstanding instrument and representative of what Guild has to offer!

Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing signs of finish checking all throughout the body. There is noticeable top wear on the bass side of the soundhole. Fretboard shows indentations from the 1st to the 4th fret. Neck shows signs of finish wear on the back. A Fishman soundhole mounted pickup has been installed. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes the original hardcase.
