A great player from late '80s Japan!
Manufactured at the fabled Fujigen factory, these earlier MIJ models are becoming more and more sought after with each passing year. This example has a pencilled neck date of 1988, and appears to be the basic ST-57-55 model. Composed of a basswood body with maple neck, these examples feature an oval profile, 7.25" fretboard radius, as well as ST-Vintage pickups. Internally, everything looks correct for this particular model and period. Finished in black, this example plays great and represents some of the best manufacturing to come out of Japan.
Cosmetic condition is good for its age showing minor dings, scratches, and general playwear throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes a gig bag. No tremolo arm included.
