1996 Gibson ES-175 Tobacco Sunburst
Sold Out
A stunning example from Gibson!
Arguably one of the definitive 'jazz' guitars, the ES-175 has seen use in the hands of a diverse array of players looking for something with a defined acoustic quality, and smooth sound. This particular example dates to 1996, and is composed of a laminate maple hollow body in combination with a set mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. Featuring a sligthtly slimmer neck profile, this example features beautiful parallelogram inlays and plays exceptionally well. Original '57 Classic pickups are present, and really have come to define the sound of more recent hollow body Gibson offerings. An incredible model from one of Gibsons best 'modern' periods!
Cosmetic condition is very good for its age, showing light scratches, swirl marks, and a couple of small dings present throughout. Some nickel hardware corrosion is present, predominantly on the pickup covers. There are appears to be evidence of a previous strap pin hole on the neck heel. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Currently strung with flats. Includes the original Gibson hardshell case.
