2000s Cole Clark Fat Lady FL1A Natural
Sold Out
A super cool, early example from Cole Clark!
Established in 2001, Cole Clark quickly became renowned for their great acoustic builds emphasising local timbers and innovative design. Composed of a solid bunya top with solid Queensland maple back and sides, the FL1A is one of the definitive offerings from Cole Clark. This particular example appears to have been manufactured right around 2003-2004, coinciding with the original launch of the model line. A Queensland maple neck is present, and in combination with a 16" fretboard radius and spanish heel joint, makes for quite a fun player. This one retains its original, early design preamp and employs a piezo in combination with a proprietary 'face brace' pickup. A gorgeous instrument from one of Australia's iconic manufacturers!
Cosmetic condition is fair, showing signs of wear throughout. There is noticeable wear around the soundhole as well as general signs of play wear in the form of minor dents, scratches, and pick marks throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action (revise once neck straightened out). Includes an aftermarket hardcase.
