Another killer US-made Guild!
After acquiring Guild in 1995, Fender transitioned production to their Corona, California factory. The result was a period of early to mid 2000s made Guilds that were manufactured at Corona, and then later in Tacoma, Washington. This particular example, the F47MCE dates to this period and was one of their semi-acoustic, cutaway options. Composed a solid spruce top in combination with laminated maple sides and a solid maple back, the F47MCE delivers a reliably punchy, and mid-forward tone. Thanks to the more condensed grand auditorium size, these example sits in the lap beautifully and is equally at home whether you're strumming or doing some finger picking. A Fishman Prefix Pro Blend system is featured on board, delivering reliable amplified sound that represents the natural acoustic qualities of the instrument.
Cosmetic condition is good with play wear present throughout as well as noticeable lacquer checking and minor finish cracks. There is a small crack at the sound hole (see photos), which has been glued and stabilised in our workshop. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the original hardcase.
