One of Epiphone's premier models at the time, the Les Paul Ultra featured a variety of modern appointments aimed at addressing a variety of criticisms typically levelled towards the Les Paul design. Made in Korea in the Unsung factory, the Les Paul Ultra featured a chambered mahogany body in combination with a quilted maple veneer top. Around the back of the guitar is a belly contour, which is quite unique! The neck features a Slim-Taper profile with a rosewood fretboard and a 42mm nut width. This example has had its set of pickups replaced with a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck and a JB in the bridge. The wiring harness and pots appear to be original to the guitar. These also boast a set of Grover tuners which is pretty neat! The pickguard is missing from this example.
Cosmetic condition is okay with some noticeable dings being found on the back of the instrument. The gold plating on the hardward has just about worn away from any of the high contact areas. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. No case included.
