This example, dating to 2007, was manufactured in the Gibson Custom Shop. Featuring a mahogany body construction, mahogany neck, and a stunning Ebony fretboard, the L-4M CES presents beautifully. Parallelogram inlays are present as is the gold plated hardware. The neck fills out nicely, skirting the line between a 'D' and 'C' profile with a nice and comfortable 9.5" fretboard radius. Unplugged, this example features a deep, three-dimensional sound with adequate low end and articulate mid range. Outside of custom orders, Gibson isn't really manufacturing arch tops anymore, making this a great opportunity to get your hands on one of Gibsons best. For the serious jazzer chasing the pinnacle of Gibson archtop tone, this is the one for you!
Cosmetically, this example has been well looked after some minor tarnishing to the gold hardware present. There are a couple of small scratches, predominantly located on the back of the instrument. Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Includes the original hardcase, COA, and hangtags/cash candy.
