2021 Fender Custom Shop LTD 1951 Telecaster Closet Classic Butterscotch Blonde
$5,750.00
An exceptional offering from the Fender Custom Shop!
We're excited to present another one of these limited 1951 Telecasters from the Fender Custom Shop, this time in a beautifully done Closet Classic finish.
Shortly after the scrapping of the original Broadcaster name, Fender's first solid body electric after a short period of having no name in '51 emerged as the now infamous 'Telecaster!' Unfortunately for us mere mortals, the fantasy of owning an original '51 example is mere wishful thinking. Thankfully for Fender, their Custom Shop puts out incredibly recreations with this example highlighting the high degree of build quality and adherence to vintage specs the Custom Shop is known for.
The Closet Classic serves as a step up from the NOS offerings, showcasing beautiful checking lines throughout (representative of an instrument kept in a case under the bed for the past 50 years). Featuring an ash body in combination with a AA quartersawn maple neck, the 1951 Telecaster features a compound 7.25" - 9.5" fretboard radius as well as their 10/56 'V' neck profile. Under the hood is a set of hand wound 50-51 Blackguard pickups which deliver that authentic early '50s spank. A super impressive example from the Custom Shop!
Cosmetic condition is excellent with little play wear present (outside of the checking courtesy of the closet classic relic'ing process). Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes the original case, COA, and case candy.
