The Vintera series from Fender has become one of Fenders most popular series, faithfully recreating a variety of classic Fender designs with period appropriate specifications.
Introduced in 1972, the Telecaster Custom took the common modification of placing a humbucker in the neck, and made it into a production line instrument. Utilising a humbucker design from Seth Lover, the Wide Range humbucker proved to be a popular and unique spin on the humbucker, offering a sound that has endured throughout the decades to come.
The Vintera 70s Telecaster Custom faithfully adopts many of the specs of the original, including a 7.25" fingerboard radius, vintage style frets, and even the 3-bolt neck attachment. F-stamped tuners are present, and these reissues even sought to recreate the original pickup designs as close as possible!
This example is in excellent condition cosmetically, with only a few very minor dings found predominantly on the front of the instrument. Hardware is fully functional, and when plugged in really captures the vibe of what these models were going for. Snappy in the bridge, and nice and warm without sacrificing clarity in the neck position. Plays well with a low-medium action. No case or gig bag included.
