Released as part of the latest incarnation of the American Vintage line, this example is sure to please those looking for a great Stratocaster with accurate early 1960s specifications!
Boasting an alder body and maple neck with slabwood rosewood fretboard, these examples also feature a gorgeously applied gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Correct to '61, a slab rosewood fretboard is present in tandem with a '61 'C' shape profile and 7.25" fretboard radius. For this release, Fender have created the Pure Vintage '61 pickup, which delivers all the chimeiness you would come to expect from a Stratocaster of this period. The only non-accurate specification on this model is a 5-way switch, which is preffered to get those gloriously in between positionStrat sounds everyone knows and loves. An exceptional example perfect for the vintage purist!
Cosmetic condition is very good with light play wear present throughout. The most notable mark is in the form of a hairline scratch that runs down from the bridge. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the original hardcase, COA, and replacement Goldo US Stratocaster tremolo arm.
