So far what we've been able to uncover is that Moody was an instrument manufacturer in Sydney, and this is example is one of their creations! 1940s is a ball park decade, but it's as good a guess as any! Body shape looks kinda similar to a Supro Comet, but with some noteworthy differences. There's a volume and tone control, but both appear to function as volume. Sounds nice plugged in, definitely a classic old-school single coil tone. This example has had the bobbin replaced and rewound.
