Matsumoku-made Greco Precision bass with plenty of vibe and character!

The PB-420 from Greco entered the catalogue sometime around 1974, and really marked an improvement in production of guitars and basses compared to earlier years. This particular example dates somewhere around 1974-75, due to the time of the models introduction and the fact that this example doesn't contain a serial number on it's neck plate. Serial numbers didn't begin to get introduced by Greco until sometime in late '75.

The PB-420 was designed as a reimagining of the fabled P-bass design of the early 1960s. This particular example appears to be original, and really plays excellently for a Greco of this period. These examples also had pancake bodies (you can see the seem running along the entirety of the bass' side!)

Freshly restrung, this example is super punchy and articulate with tonnes of note clarity. A nice balanced weight, and super fun to play!

Excellent cosmetic condition considering its age, minus some minor scuffing and dings found throughout.

Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action.
