The Tonerider Classic J is a passive pickup set built for tonal versatility on Jazz Basses. It offers clean, punchy lows and harmonics suited for slap and fingerstyle, while still allowing you to roll off highs for smoother, “Jaco-style” tones. The aged Alnico 5 magnets help preserve detail and definition even when playing hard or with a pick. 

Key features:

• Neck: Alnico 5, approx 7.4 kΩ DCR / 3.2 H inductance. 

• Bridge: Alnico 5, approx 8.2 kΩ DCR / 3.8 H inductance. 

• Vintage-braid hookup wire. 

• RWRP (Reverse-Wound Reverse-Polarity) wiring when both pickups used in series or parallel (hum-cancelling). 

• Wax-potted to reduce microphonic feedback.
