A killer example from Norlin-era Gibson!
Perhaps most synonymous with none other than Jack Bruce, the EB-3 took the stylings of Gibsons iconic SG and applied it to the bass format. This particular, dated from its serial and pot codes, dates to 1974. Composed of a solid mahogany body with three-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard, this example sports a volute typical of the time period. Features a two pickup configuration in combination with volume and tone controls for each individual pickup, and a varitone control. Internal electronics look correct. As a couple of screws are stripped, the bridge pickup hasn't been inspected but appears to be an original example. Bridge appears to be a replacement as does the bridge cover. A super cool player with plenty of mojo!
Cosmetic condition is fair, showing signs of play wear throughout in the form of dings, scratches, nitro checking, and rub wear. The front of the body shows signs of what appears to be previous mould that has permeated the nitro. There are some scuffs to the side of the body where it appears some paint may have marked the body. At the 9th fret, bass side of the neck, there is a wear mark. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the original case.
