1989 Fender MIJ ST57-55 Stratocaster Black

A super fun, MIJ Stratocaster!

A glorious period of manufacturing, the MIJ period is renowned for putting out some of Fenders best instruments (in a modern sense). This particular example dates between 1989-1990, and is either a ST57-55 or ST57-500. The original neck heel pencil mark is no longer legible, but both models are effectively the same. Composed of a basswood body with a maple neck, this example features a 7.25" in combination with an 'oval' neck profile. This example features the standard Japanese-made Vintage pickups in combination with what looks to be original wiring. Lightweight, and with a lovely sound, this example is sure to delight anyone looking for a maple-neck Stratocaster!

Cosmetic condition is good, showing scratches and dings throughout in addition to yellowing of the plastic components and some tarnishing to the tuners in particular. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a tremolo arm. Includes a gig bag.
