1990s Mosrite Super Custom '65 'The Ventures' Model Sunburst

The Ventures were one of the premier surf bands of their day, so it seemed only fitting that Mosrite collaborated with the band in the '60s, spearheading an iconic design that has resonated beyond the surf genre. As an aside, the Ventures were wildly popular in Japan during the '60s, almost singlehandedly spearheading the electric guitar market within the country.

This particular example dates to the 1990s and is a Super Custom '65 Ventures model finished in sunburst and manufactured in the KuroKumo factory Japan. These models are high-end recreations of the original 1965 models with accurate vintage-spec "spun" top-hat knobs, embossed pickups, and a Vibramute sand-cast tremolo unit that works beautifully and is incredibly responsive and a joy to use. 

Cosmetic condition is overall very good, showing some small patches of finish clouding in a couple of spots, as well as very minor scratches and dings. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. No case or gig bag included.
