1991 Fender USA Jeff Beck Artist Series Stratocaster Vintage White
$2,650.00
A cool, neo-vintage Fender Artist Series model from one of the best to ever pick up a Stratocaster!
One of the most singular and defined voices in the development of electric guitar, Jeff Beck was known for his exceptional command of the instrument and his ability to cross across genres whilst sounding definitively himself. An early recipient of a signature model from Fender, this particular example dates to 1991 and represents one of the earlier incarnations of the model. Composed of an alder body body finished in vintage white with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard, these early examples are noted for their deeper 'U' shaped neck. Featuring a HSS configuration, this example retains its original Lace Sensor 'Gold' pickups as well as the inclusion of a TBX circuit, and a push/push for coil-splitting the humbucker. Also featured is the roller nut and Sperzel locking tuners, as well as a two-point tremolo system. Very cool to encounter one of these earlier examples!
Cosmetic condition is fair, showing noticeable play wear and finish discolouration to the front and back of the body. The backplate, tone control knob, and tremolo arm are missing, as is the thumbwheel for the B-string tuner. Hardware is functional, and plays with a low action. No case or gig bag included.
