The best of both the Ukulele and Banjo? We think so!

Established in Westminster in 1832, John Grey & Sons manufactured a variety of stringed instruments, including banjos! This particular example was one of their 'banjoleles' from the 1920s. Features a walnut neck and ebony fretboard, and appears to have potentially had the tuning keys replaced (most other similar examples typically have black tuning keys). Most of these also appeared to have a resonator-like backplate which appears to be missing on this exampel. At some stage it looks like some work has been done to the back of the headstock.

Hardware is functional, and the instrument is in fairly reasonable condition for its age. Sounds fun and is a super unique instrument. Currently strung up with nylgut strings.
