CTS 'USA spec' Audio Taper Potentiometer.

The CTS audio taper gives you smoother and more accurate response than with economy pots. Featuring a aluminium thread and split-shaft.

Specs:

- USA spec thread: 3/8" x 32.
- 3/8" (9.5mm) diameter threaded collar.
- 24 spline (fine) split shaft.
- Includes 1 x nut, 1 x dress washer and 1 x lock washer.

Dimensions:

- The brass threaded collar is 9.5mm long.
- Total length of the shaft to the top of the spline is 18mm.
- Split shaft diameter : 6mm.
- Pot casing diameter : 24mm.

Which Ohm value should you choose?

500k pots are the standard volume and tone controls for humbuckers, and 250k's are usually used for single-coil pickups. A 250k gives a slightly warmer tone than a 500K by sending more of the high-frequencies in the circuit to ground.
