A gorgeous player from Kentucky!

Prior to 1922, many mandolins featured a smaller oval soundhole shape. A unique sound, this eventually faded out of favour. This example features that smaller oval soundhole, but at a more affordable price compared to original pre-1922 examples. Composed of a solid sitka spruce top and solid maple back and sides, the KM-272 has plenty of articulation and punch for its size. An indian rosewood fretboard is present, and thanks to a slim maple neck, is a joy to play. A killer mandolin with plenty of character!

Cosmetic condition is very good with some light pick wear on the pickguard, as well as some minor marks on the face of the headstock. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the original gig bag.
