Martin Retro Monel Acoustic Guitar Strings

Our favourite acoustic strings!

Martin Retros are made using Monel, just like they were made when the first steel strings for acoustic guitars were developed in the early 20th Century. Monel strings don't have the zing and glassiness of Phosphor Bronze strings, instead, they have a warmth and beautifully detailed midrange that pairs wonderfully with vintage instruments, and for people who like a more vintage tone our of their instruments. They are great for taming super-bright instruments too, and they seem to just last longer due to not having the initial sparkle of a new Phosphor Bronze string.
